Joan Tignor Cloninger

Joan Tignor Cloninger, 85, of Lincolnton passed away May 21, 2023.
She was born in Kings Mountain on July, 23, 1937 to Denver Tignor and Kathleen Keever Tignor. She retired from Homelite/John Deere after 30 years. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Cloninger and brother Dee Tignor.
She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, family time, and making baby quilts. She provided homemade cookies, brownies, and cakes for the Lincolnton High School press box for many years. She loved, supported, and prayed over her family in all endeavors.
She is survived by her children, son, Scott Cloninger (Stephanie) and daughter, Tammy Cloninger (Rob); grandchildren Candace Cloninger (Casey), Lauren Brewer (Demery), Kalee Cloninger and Karson Cloninger; great grandchildren, Millie and Max Jones and Kendon Brewer; one brother Paul Tignor (Nancy) and sister-in-law, Brenda Tignor, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Salem Baptist Church in Lincolnton with visitation from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45p p.m. followed by the funeral at 4:00p.m. Officiants will be Pastors Marcus Redding and Shea Houser. Burial will follow the service in the Salem Baptist Cemetery.
