Mary Joyce Moody Castillo, age 72, of 228 Turner Street in Lincolnton, died on Monday, May 8, 2023.
Mary was born March 15, 1951, in Burke County, to the late Ed and Frances Kaylor Moody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Castillo; son, Scott Young; sisters, Linda Mass, Judy Moody, Patricia Upton, and Betty Jo Moody; and brother, Sonny Moody. She worked in furniture manufacturing.
She is survived by a son, Travis Caudle of NJ; two daughters, Robin Frye (Raymond) of Lincolnton, and Melissa Caudle of Vale; brother, Edney Moody of Valdese; grandchildren, Marcus Cook, Seth Cook, Koda Castillo, Canyun Castillo, Bethany Caudle, Michael Young, and Justin Young; and great-grandchildren, Rogan Cook, McKenna Cook, Stephen Castillo, Blayse Castillo, Devin Castillo, and Kimberly Frye.
