John Wayne Houk, age 80, of Lincolnton, NC, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023. Mr. Houk was born March 03, 1943, in Lincoln County, a son of the late James Robert Houk and Annie Mae Armstrong Houk Fisher.
Mr. Houk is survived by his wife, Gina Houk of the home; children, Chadney Wayne Houk (Terri), Woody Gene Houk (Tammy), Megan Marr Ballenger (Josh), John Alexander Houk (Shelby), Allison Houk Wallace (Zacharie), and Donna Sain (Mike); grandchildren, Hannah Belle Houk (Paul), Karianne Houk, Kelianne Houk, Corder Houk, Gracelynn Schronce, Blakelynn Ballenger, Lincoln Ballenger, Bristol Wallace, and Maddux Wallace; great-granddaughter, Brynlee Gragg; and brother, Robert Carroll Houk.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Victory Grove Baptist Church in Lincolnton, NC, officiated by Reverend Clay Ledford and Mr. Alexander Houk.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 205 Regency Executive Park Drive #102, Charlotte, NC 28217.
