Don Smith, age 83, of Vale, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023.
Don was born October 12, 1939, in Lincoln County to the late James Edison Smith and Mazel Carpenter Smith. He worked as a general contractor and electrician. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lincolnton.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Brown Smith of the home; son, Chad Smith (Becky) of Vale; daughter, Myra Smith Stallings (Seth) of Oxford, NC; and four grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Camille Jenkins (Joseph), Callie Smith, and Josh Stallings.
Services will be held at a later date.
