Lillian Homesley Sain

Lillian Homesley Sain, age 90, of Lincolnton, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Highland Drive Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Luke Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Iron Station Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Sain was born October 28, 1932, in Lincoln County, to the late John Jacob Homesley and Edna Cloninger Homesley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Earl Sain. She worked in textiles for J.P. Stevens.
She is survived by a daughter, Melodie Sain Pugh (Darrell) of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Stacey Pugh Bassinger (Doug), Herbert Daniel Pugh, and Stephen Forrest Pugh; two great-grandchildren, Douglas Aaron Bassinger and Lillian Brooke Bassinger; numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece, Sherry Strange (Dennis).
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
