Frank Richard "Rick" Thompson

Frank Richard “Rick” Thompson, age 69 of Downing Court in Lincolnton passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022.
Rick was born April 26, 1953 in Charlotte. He was the son of the late Frank Summers Thompson and Loraine Little Thompson. Mr. Thompson graduated from the University of North Carolina with a BS degree and then graduated from Pharmacy School at UNC. He worked as a Pharmacist at both Lincoln County Hospital and Atrium Health Lincoln.
Rick’s passions included the University of North Carolina, his garden, 60’s rock-and-roll, traveling, and sharing experiences with his loved ones. His most outstanding traits were his kindness, his generosity, and his willingness to express his love and pride for others.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Boger City United Methodist Church. Rev. Ronnie Roseboro will officiate. The family will greet friends immediately after in the fellowship hall.
Rick is survived by his children: Josh Thompson of Sylva, NC, Tricia Thompson of Denver, CO, and Brett Thompson of Charlotte, NC; his daughter-in-law Brittany Thompson of Sylva, NC; and his two grandchildren, Lily and Oliver Thompson, of Sylva, NC.
