Betty McNeely Jones, age 92, of Salem Church Road in Lincolnton, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 03, 2022. Ms. Jones was born March 10, 1930, in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Horace McNeely and Naomi McNeely.
Ms. Jones is survived by her son, Johnnie Jones (Kaye) of Winston-Salem, NC; daughters, Brenda Jones of Lincolnton, Janice J. Payseur (Carroll) of Lincolnton, Susie Myers of Newberry, SC, and Bobbie Pilkinton (David) of Little River, SC; grandchildren, Lauren P. Barker, Kendra Myers, Carolina P. Mackie, Sarah J. Williams, Jonathan Wilson, Matthew Myers, and Crystal Church; and great-grandchildren, Isaac Williams, Elias Barker, Ella, Brynn, and Olivia Mackie, Raven Henley, and Lucas Wilson.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Lucius L. Jones; siblings, Vertie M. Price, W. E. “Dub” McNeely, Forrest McNeely, and Merle M. Barrett; grandson, Harley Wilson; and son-in-law, Marvin Myers.
A private graveside service will be held at Salem Baptist Church, Lincolnton, NC.
