Timothy Sherrill Dellinger
( January 30, 1962 - December 01, 2022 )
Timothy Sherrill Dellinger (Tim), age 60, of Denver, N.C. passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Tim was born January 30, 1962, in Iredell County, to the late Everett Eugene Dellinger and Colleen Sherrill Dellinger.

Tim is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marian King Dellinger; three sons, Zachary Kiser (Christina Saake) of Denver, and Clay Kiser (Michaelia) of Charlotte, and Jacob Dellinger (Ameenah Taylor) of Charlotte; daughter, Caroline Irvin (Benjamin) of Charlotte; brother, Gary Dellinger (Virginia) of Catawba; two sisters, Gail Timmerman of Charlotte, and Janet Abernathy (Danny) of Denver; three grandchildren, Sofia Irvin, Macklin Kiser, and Quade Kiser; eight nieces and nephews; in-laws, James and Linda King of Mt. Holly, and brother-in-law, Mike King (Leigh Ann) of Mt. Holly.

Nothing meant more to Tim than his family. His wife, Marian, was the light of his life and his kids were his pride and joy. Tim adored his grandchildren and cherished every time they called to simply say, “Hey PawPaw!”

Tim was a devoted fan of the Carolina Tarheels and the Carolina Panthers. He enjoyed playing golf, venturing to the N.C. mountains with friends, and family getaways to the beach. Tim loved busting chops as a term of endearment. He was an avid animal lover and will be missed by his sweet dogs Molly, Bonnie, and Kilo, and his cat, Baby.

He worked hard and grew his 40-year career at Duke Energy where colleagues became work family.

To know Tim was to love him. He had a heart of gold and he would do anything to ensure the happiness and well-being of his loved ones. He will be missed beyond measure and his legacy will live on in his children and grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Tim’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Webbs Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Sherrill and Rev. Mike Davis officiating. The burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Monday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Webbs Chapel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 116, Denver, NC 28037.
