JoAnn Long House

JoAnn Long House, age 84, of Alvin, Texas, and formerly of Conover, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022.
JoAnn was born August 24, 1938, in Lincoln County, to the late Marshall Long, Ruth Taylor and Donald Shuford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Sherry Ann House, and Samuel Scott House; and brother, Jerry Long. She retired from Iredell Memorial Hospital where she worked as a registered nurse.
She is survived by her former husband, Samuel G. House of Fort Davis, TX; daughter, Lynn House Scanlon (Patrick) of Alvin, TX; grandson, Richard Patrick Baker (Jennifer) of Pipe Creek, TX; great-grandchild, Zeke Atlas Baker; aunt, Helen Grzesiak; and many relatives.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, in Hollybrook Cemetery with John Crow officiating. The family will greet friends following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Ministry of Lincoln County, P.O. Box 423, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
