Mable Alethea Moody Jones

Mable Alethea Jones, age 82, of Iron Station, died on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Yount officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:45 until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mable was born April 7, 1940, in Thomaston, Georgia, to the late C.L. Moody and Louise Lovick Moody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Wilson Jones.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Jones (Natasha), Jeff Jones (Emily), and Johnny Jones, all of Iron Station; brothers, Cecil Moody of GA, Mike Moody of SC, and Richard Moody of China Grove; seven grandchildren, Candice, Brandan, Wesley, Dakota, Jessica, Chase, and Breleigh; and seven great-grandchildren, Abigail, Silas, Emma, Carter, Oakley, Walt, and Laney.
Memorials may be made to Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, PO Box 441, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
