Jesse Wayne Mace, age 41, of Johnstown Road in Crouse, died on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
Jesse was born August 21, 1981, in Gaston County, to Timothy Wayne Mace and Julia Trammell Cook. He was preceded in death by his step-grandmother, Stella Turner; grandparents, Johnny and Phyllis Mace, and James and Mary Trammell. Jesse worked for McCreary Modern.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Smith Mace of the home; father, Timothy Mace (Debbie) of Gastonia; mother, Julia Lynn Cook (Harry) of Crouse; children, Jesse James Mace, Ethan David Mace, and Jay Cicero Branch; sister, Tana Longinett (Jesse) of Raeford; sister-in-law, Nicole Smith of Lincolnton; nephews, Kevin and Andrew Longinett; step-sisters, Emily Ramirez and Crystal Hudson, both of Denver; father-in-law, Thomas Smith of Maiden; step-grandfather, John Turner of Gastonia; and numerous aunts and uncles.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Scronce and Rev. Amy Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
