Donald Backus

Donald Backus, age 67, of Craig Drive in Iron Station, died on Monday, September 19, 2022.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Revival Tabernacle of Lincolnton with Rev. Zach Franklin and Rev. Tony Beatty officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Donald was born December 29, 1954, in Smithton, Pennsylvania, to Albert and Nancy Lilliock Backus. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Backus, Jr. Donald worked as a truck driver for MDI.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Beatty Backus of the home; daughter, Becky Estep Youssef (Hany) of Mt. Airy, NC; son, Matthew Backus of the home; grandson, Joshua Estep of Winston-Salem; brothers, Thomas Backus and David Backus, both of Smithton, PA; sister, Carol Kelley of Smithton, PA; three brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.
