James Noah “Jim” Lineberger, Jr., age 85, of Lineberger Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, September 9, 2022.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2022, in the High Shoals Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service.
“Jim” was born July 8, 1937, in Gaston County, to the late James Noah Lineberger, Sr. and Inez Kistler Lineberger. He worked as a diesel mechanic and retired from UPS after 28 years. Jim graduated from Lincolnton High School Class of 1955 and was a charter member of New Heights Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara “Bobbi” Daniel Lineberger of the home; sons, Scott Lineberger (Patty), and Brad Lineberger, all of Lincolnton; daughter, Cammy Cloninger (Joe) of Bessemer City; six grandchildren, Dylan Lineberger, Garrett Lineberger, Matthew Cloninger (Mayra), Lacy Walters (Michael), Sydney Lineberger, and Sierra Lineberger; and four great-grandchildren, Rylee Lineberger, Asher Cloninger, Aliana Abernathy, and Madison Wilson.
Memorials may be made to New Heights Baptist Church, PO Box 60, High Shoals, NC 28077.
