Pamalia Hoover Bethancourt

Pamalia Hoover Bethancourt, age 65, of Hoover-Elmore Road in Vale, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022.
Her memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Cummings officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
“Pam” was born February 20, 1957, in Gaston County, to Marvin and Janice Bumgarner Hoover. Pam was an ICU nurse in Greenville, SC then moved to New Orleans where she met her husband and worked as a QA nurse then a school nurse. Returning to NC, she homeschooled and was a Board member of the Lincoln County Home Educators. Desiring to help children, she was a tutor at Northbrook Elementary School for the past few years.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck Bethancourt of the home; children, Weston Bethancourt (Raven) of Odenton, MA, Charlie Bethancourt (Makenzee), and Rebekah Castell (Colton), all of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Naomi Bethancourt and Callie Castell; parents, Marvin and Janice Hoover of Vale; siblings, Teenya Gantt (Alan), Cindy Lints, and Beth Moss (Jay); and numerous nieces and nephews.
