Larry Gene Adkins

Larry Gene Adkins, age 67, of Lincolnton passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, after a long illness. He was born February 17, 1955, in Wayne County, West Virginia, a son of the late Shem Lee and Mary Katherine Boley Adkins.
Mr. Adkins is survived by his wife, Doris Ross Adkins, of the home; sons, Joshua Lee Adkins and wife, Betty Jo, of Lincolnton, and Loy Gene Adkins and wife, Colleen, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Payton, Kennedy, Blakeley, Darcy, Liam, Emma, and one coming in August; brothers, Eddie Adkins and wife, Phyllis, and Charles Adkins and wife, Karen; sister, Barbara Adkins-Patton; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; mother-in-law, Joanne Ross; brother-in-law, David Ross, Jr.; and sisters-in-law, Melinda Avery and husband, Mike, and Julia Cole and husband, Joseph.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. The family will greet friends following the memorial service.
