Pearl Dora Helms

Pearl Dora Helms, age 91, of the Heath House in Lincolnton, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Shea Houser and Pastor Mark Redding officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Sunday at Salem Baptist Church.
Pearl was born March 18, 1931, in Lincoln County, to the late Frank and Emma Lewis Helms. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Phyllis Hawley, Betty Buser, Gwendolyn “Penny” Helms, Hester Byers, Dorothy Fullerton, and Katherine Kirby; and brothers, Bobby Helms, Frank Helms, Jr., and Jack Helms. She worked as a spinner in textiles.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, and caregiver and family, Michelle and Jeff Peeler, Angela, Kevin, Mya, and Cole Robbins.
Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 1982 Salem Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
