Faye Ward Stroup

Faye Ward Stroup, age 88, of Prince Drive in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
Mrs. Stroup was born February 26, 1934, in Catawba County, to the late Forrest and Loree McCaslin Ward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Stroup. She worked as a secretary for National Fruit. Founding member of Messiah United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Hovis of Lincolnton and Sheila Avery of Vale; two granddaughters, Alicia Rhodes of Lincolnton and Natalie Roth of Sylva; a grandson, Evan Avery of Vale; and three great-grandchildren, Riley and Grace Roth, and Austin Lee Rhodes.
A private graveside service will be held.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
