Helen Inez Rhyne Blackburn

Helen Inez Rhyne Blackburn, age 98, of Southside Road, Lincolnton passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022.
Her funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Riverview Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Brookshire officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service Monday at Riverview Baptist Church.
Mrs. Blackburn was born on April 1, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Minnie Thornburg Rhyne. She retired as the owner of Helen’s Beauty Shop. Helen was the pianist at Riverview Baptist for over 70 years.
Mrs. Blackburn is survived by her son, Johnny R. Blackburn of the home; one brother, Kenneth Rhyne of Southport, N.C.; six grandchildren, Danielle Marlow, Emily Frady (Nathan), Nathan Blackburn (Annie), Alise Blackburn, Melissa Blackburn and Zach Blackburn; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Memorials may be made to Riverview Baptist Church, 2230 Riverview Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
