Kimmie Houser Leatherman

Mrs. Kimmie Alice Houser Leatherman, age 94, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, April 16, 2022.
Kimmie was born on June 26, 1927 in Lincoln County to the late Tola Elam Houser and Della Mae Leatherman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Ralph Leatherman, daughter, Dixie Patterson and grandson, Bruce Leatherman, six sisters and seven brothers.
Kimmie worked in the industry of clothing making for many years. She was also a wonderful homemaker and loved all her children completely and equally. She attended Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Lincolnton.
Survivors include one daughter Donna Cooke, and three sons, Elwyn Leatherman (Nancy), Boyce Leatherman (Linda) and Tom Leatherman (Sherry); grandchildren Veronica Cooke, Doug Patterson, David Patterson, Halie Leatherman; great grandchildren, Ethan Cooke, Zane Cooke, Avrie Cooke, Carson Patterson, Christopher Patterson, Gary Patterson and Amanda Ehrentraut.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 pm on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Warlick Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Hollybrook Cemetery in Lincolnton.
