Obituaries

Shirley Johnson Putnam, age 79, of Lincolnton, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022.  She was born February 14, 1943, in Lincoln County, a daughter of the late Sherman Leon Johnson and Ella Goins Johnson.

Mrs. Putnam is survived by a daughter, Jodi Walker (Heath) of Newton; son, Lanny Loftin (Paige) of Lincolnton; stepson, Steve Putnam (Joyce) of Maiden; stepdaughter, Pamela Wray (Chris) of Shelby; eight grandsons; three granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Putnam was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Garrison Putnam, and sister, Helen Miller.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
