( June 30, 1931 - March 16, 2022 )
Frances Paysour Alexander, age 90, of 311 Wagontree Court in Dallas, went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Landers Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Ingle officiating.  Burial will follow in the Landers Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.  The body will lie in state from 3:30 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family will greet friends by the graveside at the conclusion of the service.  Masks are required during all services.

Mrs. Alexander was born June 30, 1931, in Gaston County, to the late John Leonard and Verna Smith Paysour.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey John Alexander, brothers, Beauford and James, and sisters, Dorothy Terres and Ola Ross.  She was a homemaker and frequent volunteer for the Craft Yarn Council, the March of Dimes, and other charities.

Throughout the years, Mrs. Alexander attended and was very active in church singing in the choir, being involved in various church groups, and helping wherever needed.  As a homemaker, she specialized in cooking skills, but was also a gifted seamstress.  With a child-like spirit, she enjoyed and celebrated every holiday because she especially liked seeing the children in their Halloween costumes, Easter dresses or suits, and opening Christmas gifts.  Although more of a summer person because of the family garden and flowering plants, Mrs. Alexander loved to see snow falling and reveled in its beauty and serenity.

Mrs. Alexander is survived by her son, Gerald Alexander (Sandra) of Dallas; daughters, Brenda Kincaid (Randy) and Karen Smith, son-in-law, Ronald Smith both of Lincolnton; Jennifer Alexander (fiancé Taylor Bailey) of Bluffton, SC, and Kimberly Bell (Michael) of Dallas.  Eight grandchildren, Christopher Kincaid, Derek Smith (Cynthia), Brooke Smith, Chandler Alexander, Brandon Alexander, Rocky Skowronski, Brittany Skowronski, and Chloe Bell.  Four great-grandchildren, Bryson Smith, Carson Kincaid, Gabby Kincaid, and Brystol Smith.  A brother, Clyde Paysour (Muriel) of Lincolnton; two brothers-in-law, Bob Alexander (JoAnn) and Harold Alexander of Lincolnton; sister-in-law, Jessie Payseur also of Lincolnton; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to caregivers, Pam Cody, Leah Gray, Anna Ellison, Cathy Houser, and Chanin Dean.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9989.
