Dorothy Hoyle Elmore

Dorothy Hoyle Elmore, age 93, formerly of Lincolnton, NC and most recently Oxford, FL where she resided near her son and daughter-in-law, died Monday, March 7, 2022, in Florida.
A funeral service and celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jim Holt, Mr. Tom Nussbaum, and Ms. Susan McCorkle officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
Dorothy was born on December 22, 1928, in Shelby, NC. She was the daughter of the late William Edgar Hoyle and Elsie Virgie Lee Wright. She was retired from Ester Mill of Shelby, NC.
Survivors include her son, Richard (Jean) Elmore of Florida; daughter, Glenda (Alex) Deal of Valdese, NC; and niece, Freida (Paul) Burton of South Carolina.
Dot, or Dottie, as she was affectionately called, has numerous cousins.
