Mills Augustus Greene, age 81, of Andy Logan Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, February 11, 2022.
Mills was born March 17, 1940, in Lincoln County, to the late Wilburn and Bertie Logan Green. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Mary Ruth Greene; twin brother, Max Green; and sister, Carolyn Houser. He served in the United States National Guard, and later worked as a truck driver for Yellow Freight.
He is survived by a son, Denis Greene of Lincolnton; brother, Gerald Dean Green “Cookie” of Virginia; granddaughters, Allison Greene and Teresa Greene; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Shepherd; and several extended family in the area.
Services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
