Lola Jo Anne was born in Mecklenburg County in 1938 to the late John and Margaret Taylor.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, John Taylor, Jr.; and grandson, David Williams.  She graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 1956, but her heart was always with her classmates from Ruby High School where she attended for 11 years.  After 25 years, she retired from Allstate Insurance and started a 14-year career with Harris-Teeter.  Known as a worker in church, she served as Sunday School teachers, song leader, choir director, and Christmas play director.  She was known for her giving spirit that was always done with a smile.  Thank you to Dr. William Mitchell, Caroline Heys, PA-C, Sam and Sara for being by her side, fighting these last 7 years.  She will be missed by all.

She is survived by her sons, Chuck Williams (Mitzi) of Iron Station, and Kevin Williams (Becky) of Lincolnton; sister, Marcenia Vick of Charlotte; grandchildren, Eli Williams (Heaven), and Leah Jones (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Ryder and Willow; and nieces and nephews.
