Ruth Marie Aderholdt Eurey

Ruth Marie Aderholdt Eurey, age 101, of Lincolnton, passed on to her Eternal home on Monday, January 10, 2022.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene Bragg officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Eurey was born August 29, 1920, in Gaston County, to the late Arthur E. Aderholdt and Lola Carpenter Aderholdt. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Eurey, Sr., two sisters, and a brother. Ruth retired from Lincoln County Schools where she had worked as a teacher. She was also very active in her church, Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church, where she served as Sunday School superintendent, sang in the choir, was a member of the United Methodist Women, and served on various committees. Ruth was also active in volunteering with the American Red Cross and at the former Lincoln County Hospital.
She is survived by sons, Paul Eurey, II of Lincolnton, and D. Michael Eurey of Lincolnton; daughter, Linda Ackerson of Gastonia; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church, 520 S. Madison Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
