Benny Edward Hallman

Benny Edward Hallman, age 69, of Springs East Road in Lincolnton, went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2022.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Pearl Baptist Church with Rev. Hugh Whitfield officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Warlick Funeral Home.  

Benny was born July 5, 1952, in Lincoln County, to the late Juneous Webber Hallman and Clara Ledwell Hallman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Christopher Lee Hallman; brother, Alton Hallman; and sister, Brenda Hight.  He worked as a mechanic.
Benny was an exceptional man who never met a stranger.  He was loved by everyone in his community and beyond.  He lived life to the absolute fullest.  Sherry was his lifelong sweetheart, his daughters were his pride and joy, and Jesus was the solid rock on which his faith was built.  Benny will be loved and missed until he welcomes us home to Heaven.  “The Man.  The Myth.  The Legend.”

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Mitchem Hallman of the home; daughters, Tonya Wilson (Doug) of Imperial, NE, Misty Balamucki (Bret) of Lincolnton, and Shannon Estep (Matthew) of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Kathy Foster of Sherrills Ford; and grandchildren, Taylor Wilson, Cole Wilson, Nicholas Balamucki, Lukas Balamucki, Jakob Balamucki, Avary Estep, and Collin Estep.
