Welda Laura Critcher Bishop

Welda Laura Critcher Bishop, age 89, of Poarch Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 24, 2021, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Wheeler and Mr. Brian Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Hulls Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. Bishop was born June 11, 1932, in Trade, Tennessee, to the late Ralph Sylvester Critcher and Leola Cook Critcher. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Conway Bishop; daughter, Donna Quates; two sisters, Virginia Miller and Dora Burkett; and brother, Jim Critcher. She was a school teacher.
She is survived by two sons, Ralph Brian Bishop (Cynthia) of Vale, and Ronald “Ronny” Claude Bishop (fiancé Una Elmore) of Lincolnton; sister, Marcella Anderson of Indiana; eight grandchildren, Ricky Bishop, Christy Quates, Alex Bishop, Justin Bishop, Amber Leann Bevis, Valerie Cochran, Jessica Mathis, and Travis Quates; and numerous great-grandchildren.
