Sylvia Shrum Ruff

Sylvia Shrum Ruff, age 67, of Indian Trail in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Houser officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Sylvia was born November 26, 1954, in Lincoln County, to the late Thomas Martin Shrum and Mable Black Shrum. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Henry Ruff, Jr. She worked as a cake decorator for twelve years, loved to cook, and especially the BeeGees.
She is survived by sons, Tim Brooks and Heath Brooks, both of Lincolnton; brother, Kenny Shrum of Denver; granddaughter, Amanda Brooks of Lincolnton; grandson, Wesley Brooks of Lincolnton; two great-grandchildren, Ellie Brooks and Jaxon Brooks; and sister-in-law, Doris Rogers, and husband Frank, of Virginia.
