Joey Dean “BoBo” Smith, age 26, of E. Pine Street in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, December 17, 2021 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. The family will speak to friends following the service.
Joey was born August 6, 1995, in Lincoln County, to Wilbert Dean Smith and Carolyn Williams. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ina'cent Phelps, his grandparents, Tommy Floyd Williams, Jr., and Rosie Mae Fulton Williams; and uncle, Randy Lee Williams. Joey worked as a cook for Fatz.
He is survived by his father, Wilbert Dean Smith; mother, Carolyn Williams; stepfather, Ricky Beatty of Conover; brother, Christopher Williams of Lincolnton; sisters, Nicole Reams (Jay) of Asheboro, Cyntea Smith of Chicago, and Ashley Smith of Lincolnton; sons, R.J. Smith and Joziyah Smith; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; nine nieces and nephews; best friend, Benjamin Anderson; and mentor, Perry Dierre.
