Marshall Aaron Black

Marshall Aaron Black, age 70, of Crouse Road in Crouse, died on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Anthony Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Bean and Rev. Ken Faulkenbury officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Mr. Black was born November 19, 1950, in Lincoln County, to the late Rev. Marshall Haywood Black and Charity Neal Black. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Amy Black. Marshall was a butcher for 40 years and most recently worked for Ingle’s Markets.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betsy Simmons Black of the home; daughter, Kerry Dix (David) of Knoxville, TN, and Billie Duncan (Lanny) of Maiden; grandchildren, Christopher Duncan (Johnci) of Claremont, Joshua and Luke Dix of Knoxville, TN; sister, Lydia Saine (Wade) of Iron Station; and numerous nieces and nephews.
