Ashley Noel Perez Thomas, 37, of Wilmington, formerly of Iron Station, NC, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Ironton Presbyterian Church with Pastor Daniel Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Iron Station Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the graveside service.
Ashley was born September 11, 1984, in Azores, Portugal, to Ronald Mailhot and Rebecca Caskey Papenburg. A 2002 honors graduate of East Lincoln High School and Gaston College, she was most recently employed in real estate.
She is survived by her husband, Chance Thomas, son Chase, daughter Amelia, all of the home; parents, Becky Caskey Papenburg and Dave Papenburg of Iron Station; brother, Skip Miller (Neely) of Vale, NC; brother, Dustin Papenburg (Laura) of Mint Hill, NC; and many close aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Lincoln County, PO Box 23, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
