Louise Essie Lorene Jenkins Guiton, age 91, of Hershel Lackey Road in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, September 2, 2021.
Her funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Risen Baptist Church with Pastor Justin Houser officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Risen Baptist Church.
Mrs. Guiton was born June 6, 1930, in York County, South Carolina, to the late Broadus Lee Jenkins and Mary Elizabeth Hilderbran Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Roosevelt Guiton; son, Jerry Lee Guiton; four brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by a son, Johnny Guiton (Cindy) of Lincolnton; daughters, Betty Guiton Hedgpeth, Tina Cline (Jamie), and Judy Guiton, all of Lincolnton; daughter-in-law, Donna Guiton of Maiden; grandchildren, Michelle Hedgpeth of Lincolnton, Dana Simmons (Mike) of Lincolnton, Amy Nixon (Mike) of Maiden, Stacy Guiton of Maiden, Misty Thornburg (Michael) of Crouse, David Cline (Anissa) of Lincolnton, Sam Jenkins of Lincolnton, and Ben Jenkins (Suzannah) of Cherryville; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Josh, and John Nixon, Ashley Hedgpeth (David), Olivia, Makayla, and Dylan Thornburg, Ashley Cline (Matthew) and Ansley Cline; brothers, Darrell Jenkins (Bertie) of Lincolnton, and Billy Jenkins of Icard; sister, Patsy Seifert (Joe) of Denver; numerous nieces and nephews; and honorary grandson, Jason Simmons of Lincolnton.
