Paul Delano Bumgarner
( October 18, 1936 - August 2, 2021 )
Paul “Pops” Delano Bumgarner, age 84, of 1112 Hardin Road in Dallas, died on Monday, August 2, 2021.
His funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Redeemed Baptist Church with Pastor Alan Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021, at Redeemed Baptist Church.
Mr. Bumgarner was born October 18, 1936, in Burke County, to the late Iris Burgess Bumgarner and Ada Lane Bumgarner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Steadham Powers. He worked as a machinist and served God and his family with a willing heart.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Hallman Bumgarner of the home; daughters, Cynthia “Cindi” Ann Propst (Tim) and Iris Jean “Jeannie” Propst (Robert), all of Dallas; sisters, Faye Fortenberry and Doris Lester; grandchildren, Meleena Ann Propst of Charlotte, Dr. Paula Danielle Propst of Long Beach, CA, Corey Dustin Propst (Haley) of Vale, and April Nicole McSwain (Billy) of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Mylie, Alyssa, Connor, Paisley, Kenton, and Hayes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Redeemed Baptist Church, PO Box 1588, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
