Joe Smith

Joe Smith, age 84, of Phillip Helms Lane in Vale, died on Thursday, July 15, 2021.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021, at Reepsville Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Hull and Rev. Fain Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Joe was born September 2, 1936, in Cleveland County, to the late George and Sarah Watts Smith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Forrest Smith and J.T. Smith. He worked for Cochrane Furniture.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Faye Helms Smith of the home; two sons, Roger Smith (Lynn), and Phillip Smith (Tammy), all of Vale; a sister, Margie S. Sain of Lincolnton; and three grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Ethan Smith, and Zackery Smith.
