Clara Helen Canipe Cloninger

Clara Helen Canipe Cloninger, age 90, of the Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021, in Zion Cemetery with Pastor Paul Chambers officiating. The family will speak to friends following the service.
Ms. Cloninger was born December 8, 1930, in Gaston County, to the late Wilburn Cletus Canipe and Julia Lucille Christopher Canipe. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel Canipe, Lester Canipe, and Harold Canipe; and sisters, Iva Lee Goins and Mildred Scronce. She worked in textiles as a cloth inspector.
She is survived by a brother, Jerry Franklin Canipe, and wife Annette, of Lincolnton; a sister, Wilma Canipe Sain, and husband Bobby “Buddy”, of Cat Square; and numerous nieces and nephews.
