Ruby Agnes Cantrell Miller

Ruby Agnes Cantrell Miller, age 92, of Abernathy Laurels and formerly of Old Conover-Startown Road, Newton passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2020 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton with Dr. Keith Slough officiating. The family will speak to friends following the service.
Mrs. Miller was born on December 29, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Frederick Richard Cantrell and Ethel Gandee Cantrell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Herbert Miller, her son-in law, Robert Newman, Sr., her grandson, Robert Newman, Jr. and seven brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Sonny Miller and wife, Joy of Lincolnton; four daughters, Jean Newman of VA, Carol Good and husband, Steve of WV, Bonita Miller and husband, Johnny Hooker of NC and Gail Carnefix of Newton; one sister, Opal Groves of Spencer, WV; one brother, Tom Cantrell and wife, Teresa of Harrisburg, VA; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren.
