Zeb Thomas "Tommy" Keever, Jr.

Zeb Thomas “Tommy” Keever, Jr., age 85, of Vale passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021.
His funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Anthony Grove Baptist Church with The Rev. Dr. Dennis Bean officiating. Burial will follow in the Reeps Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at Anthony Grove Baptist Church. His body will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Keever was born on June 2, 1935 and was the son of the late Zeb Thomas Keever, Sr. and Kathleen Jenkins Keever. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, David E. Keever and Donald R. Keever. Tommy was an Eagle Scout and a Mason with Lincoln Lodge #137. He was the owner of Lincoln Drug and Keever Pharmacy. As a pharmacist, Tommy served Lincoln County for 64 years.
He is survived by his wife, Janice L. Keever of the home; his son, Zeb Thomas Keever III of Raleigh; his daughter, Camille K. Hackney (Gene) of Raleigh; his stepson, Heath Houser (Jennifer) of Vale; his brother, Richard J. Keever (Evelyn) of Virginia Beach, VA; two grandsons, Joshua Walston of Raleigh and Gaven Houser of Vale and his sister-in-law, Ann W. Keever of Matthews; two nephews, Daniel Keever and Andrew Keever.
