JC Cook, age 81, of Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
JC was born January 6, 1940, in Lincoln County, to the late Ambrose Ruffin Cook and Vergie Beaver Cook Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Hoyle Cook; a daughter, Karen Lynn Cook; and brothers, David Cook, Ervin Cook, Bobby Cook, and William Wilson. He worked for Ethan Allen, and in his spare time enjoyed gardening and feeding squirrels.
He is survived by two daughters, Gail Brackett, and husband Mike, of Crouse, Kathy Booth, and husband Mark, of Cherryville; son, Kreston Cook of Lincoln County; three grandchildren, Jason, Jordan and Emma Cook; brother, Jack Wilson; and sister, Shirley Wilson Emery.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Roseland Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Brittain officiating.
He is survived by two daughters, Gail Brackett, and husband Mike, of Crouse, Kathy Booth, and husband Mark, of Cherryville; son, Kreston Cook of Lincoln County; three grandchildren, Jason, Jordan and Emma Cook; brother, Jack Wilson; and sister, Shirley Wilson Emery.
