Lula Mae Baker McConnell

Lula Mae Baker McConnell, age 85, of Lincolnton, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2021, in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Eddie Williams officiating. The body will lie in state from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at Warlick Funeral Home for those wishing to sign the guest register.
Mrs. McConnell was born June 2, 1935, in Caldwell County to the late Gustavis and Ophelia Oliver Baker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, David “D” Lee McConnell, Sr.; brother, Doug Baker; and sister, Doris Guiton. She worked for Homelite.
She is survived by her sister Chloe B. Stines of Lincolnton; a number of nieces and nephews; and step-son, Mac McConnell and family, of Mount Holly.
