Elvira Overcash Linder
( December 18, 1928 - January 18, 2021 )
Elvira Overcash Linder, age 92, of the Brian Center, and formerly of Sunridge Drive in Lincolnton, died on Monday, January 18, 2021.
A graveside service will be held for immediate family on Friday in the cemetery of Organ Lutheran Church in Salisbury with Pastor Tom Corbell and Pastor Bruce Sheeks officiating.
Ms. Linder was born December 18, 1928, in Rowan County, to the late Banks M. Overcash and Marie Sowers Overcash. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Gray Linder. She worked in data processing for Fieldcrest Cannon. She loved working in her yard, traveling with her daughters, and meeting new friends. She also enjoyed meeting with friends from work and the WELCA group.
She is survived by two daughters, Angela Johnson and husband Mitchell of Lincolnton, and Leesa Dawson and husband HC Oakes of Cornelius; sister, Colleen Fesperman of Rockwell; grandson, Brent Johnson and wife Delania of Lincolnton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Organ Lutheran Church Steeple Fund, 1515 Organ Church Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
