Helen Zane Mitchell Hester

Helen Zane Mitchell Hester, age 86, of Pressley Drive in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, January 17, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2021, in the High Shoals Memorial Gardens with Rev. William Calvert officiating.
Mrs. Hester was born September 17, 1934, in Rutherford County, to the late Charlie H. Mitchell, Sr. and Reba Arrowood Mitchell. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Gene Costner Hester; daughter, Vanessa Renee Hester; sister, Margaret Howard; and brother, Charles Henderson Mitchell, Jr. Helen was a lifetime member of Goshen Freewill Baptist Church in Mount Holly.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Hester of Lake Wylie, SC; and loving friends and neighbors, Brenda Baker, Melinda Baker, Ricky Rector, Wanda Pergason, and Phyllis Rice.
