Gail Heavner Williams
( March 19, 1948 - December 17, 2020 )
Gail Heavner Williams, 72, of Arden Oaks, Lincolnton, NC, left this world on Thursday, December 17th, 2020. Gail was born to the late Harold and Virginia “Pete” Heavner on March 19, 1948 in Lincolnton, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Dan Auton, Freddie Barrett, and Michael Crowell.

Gail was a graduate of Lincolnton High School, attended King’s and Gaston Colleges, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She was Corporate Secretary and Treasurer of Central Carolina Sprinkler Company in Lincolnton, NC, for nearly 35 years. She also held a real estate license.

Gail was a lifelong member of Boger City United Methodist Church, where her grandparents were founding members. An active member of the Lincoln County YMCA, Gail was a frequent face in Group Exercise classes for many years. She loved music, dancing, travel, and, above all, spending time and making memories with her family. Rarely, if ever, having a cross word to say about anybody, Gail epitomized the quote, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”

Gail is survived by her loving husband, Roger Williams; daughters, Krista Morgan and husband Jay of Lincolnton, NC, and Sara Eichinger and husband Bob of Asheville, NC; sister, Kathey Crowell of Blowing Rock, NC; sisters-in-law, Deanie Auton and Joy Barrett, of Lincolnton; brother-in-law, Dennis Williams and wife Sandra of Lincolnton, NC; nephews, Shane Auton and wife Leslie of Denver, NC, John Michael Crowell and wife Morgan of Pittsboro, NC, Roman Williams of Miramar, FL, and Charles Crowell and wife Hannah of Asheville, NC; nieces, Kelsey Williams and husband Travis, Zoe Bagan and husband Brad, and Kendall Boulding and husband Brandon, all of Lincolnton, NC, and Susanna McQuarrie and husband Sean of Rockville, MD; and three great-nephews and five great-nieces. She loved them all.

The family would like to thank the following caregivers for remaining by Gail’s side: Judy Lowe, Judy Heffner, Carol Mason, and Fran Bass, as well as Hospice of Lincoln County.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Ron Perry officiating.  Her body will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Warlick Funeral Home for those wishing to sign the guest register.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boger City United Methodist Church, 2320 East Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to Hospice & Palliative Care Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
