Alston Robert Taylor

Alston Robert Taylor, age 23 of 2685 Goldrush Drive in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, November 26, 2020.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020/ in the cemetery of Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Haithcock officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Lincoln Country Club. Masks will be required for all in attendance. For those wishing to see Alston and sign the guest register may do so from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Alston was born May 16, 1997, in Catawba County, to Robert Dwight Taylor and Lana Gates Taylor. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Sammy Taylor, paternal grandfather, George Taylor. He attended Appalachian State University and worked at Storie Street Grill in Blowing Rock.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Lana Taylor of the home; sister, Ashton Taylor of the home; maternal grandparents, Donald and Brenda Gates of Long Shoals; paternal grandmother, Wilma Taylor of Lenoir, NC; aunts and uncles, John and Kelly Gates of Lincolnton, Dale and Sonja Gates, of Lincolnton and Roger Taylor of Lenoir; cousins, Trey and Megan Hayes of Denver, Johnathan and Lyndsey Leatherman of Maiden; Jake and Jessie Scronce of Lincolnton, Jamie and Jeff Smith of Pensacola, FL, Ben Gates of Lincolnton, Casey Taylor, Carly Taylor, Carey Rochelle, Kevin Taylor, Samuel Taylor, Shelbey Taylor and many other cousins.
