Jackie Leonard Lawing

Jackie Leonard Lawing, age 88, of Lincolnton, died on Monday, September 28, 2020.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2020, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Chaplain Delbert Minner officiating.
Mr. Lawing was born February 1, 1932, in Lincoln County, to the late Lloyd V. “LV” Lawing and Mary Sigmon Lawing. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Lawing and Charles Lawing. He served in the United States Army, then later worked in construction.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Luryleen Ledford Lawing of the home; a son, Gary Lawing (Sharon) of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Debbie Helms (Zip) of Mooresville; four brothers, Donald Lawing (Kay), and Wallace Lawing (Pat), all of Lincolnton, and Tony Lawing (Margaret) of Maiden, and Jerry Lawing (Billie) of Sherrills Ford; two sisters, Pat Rush and Jeannie Arrowood (Gene), all of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Mark Helms, Phillip Pearman, Julie Gadd, Josh Helms, and Casey Daino; and five great-grandchildren, Ethan Helms, Aiden Helms, Parker-Lee Daino, Bastjan Daino, and Jackie Helms.
