Jefferson (Jeff) Sylvanus Turner
( October 1, 1945 - September 15, 2020 )
Mr. Jefferson Sylvanus Turner (Jeff), age 74 of 513 Bethel Church Road in Lincolnton, died at home, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters, on September 15, 2020.

Graveside service will be held at 10am, Saturday, September 19th, at Hollybrook Cemetery in Lincolnton.  A Celebration of Life service will follow at Covenant Church of Lincolnton at 11am, with a time of receiving of friends immediately after the service.   

Mr. Turner was born October 1st, 1945 in Lincoln County to the late William M. and Clara McRee Turner.  He was preceded in death by his parents William and Clara Turner of Lincolnton, NC; Sister Betty Hoffman of Lincolnton, NC; and two brothers Marty Turner of Villa Rica, GA and Ronnie Turner of Chapel Hill, NC.

Jeff was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was a man of great wisdom, strength, grace and integrity whose faith led him in his service to the Lord, his love for his family, and in all he contributed to the world around him.  He served as an Elder at Covenant Church where his leadership impacted the Kingdom of God greatly.  He was the Founder of Turner Insurance Group (Turner Houser Insurance) in Lincolnton.  He was loved and trusted by many.

He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Summey Turner; three daughters, Kimberly Turner Seel and husband Harry of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Mandy Turner Devine and husband Keith of Statesville, NC, and Michelle Turner Sutton and husband Michael of Greenville, SC; sister, Carolyn Turner Dellinger of Lincolnton, NC; brothers, Bill Turner and wife Mary of Greensboro, NC, Kermit Turner and wife Carol of Hickory, NC, and Dwight Turner and wife Doris of Lincolnton, NC; grandchildren, Hunter Seel and wife Jordan of Sumter, SC, Ella Devine, and Logan Seel. 

The family wants to especially thank all of those who have been there for both Jeff and Phyllis throughout his battle with Primary Progressive Apraxia, in prayer and service in the practical aspects of daily life.  You have blessed us tremendously!
