Larry Cornwell Garner

Larry Cornwell Garner, age 79, of Confederate Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, August 11, 2020.
Larry was born November 25, 1940, in Lincoln County, to the late Howard and Bonnie Cornwell Garner. He served in the United States Navy and retired after twenty years’ service. He then worked for Timken Company, retiring after 24 ½ years.
He was proceeded in death by his brothers: Bill, Jack and Max.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Porter Garner of the home; two sons, Michael Garner (Paige), and Chris Garner, both of Lincolnton; a daughter, Donna Noles (Michael) of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Chase Garner (Sarah), Elizabeth Noles, Ainsley Noles, and Cole Hefner; and his German Shepard, “Duke.”
A private service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605, or to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
