Jerry "Lee" Smith

Jerry “Lee” Smith, age 74, of 3801 Nutmeg Trail in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, August 6, 2020.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Holtsclaw and Rev. Scott Mann officiating. Burial will follow in the Crowell Memorial United Methodist Church cemetery. For those wishing to sign a guest register, Lee will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Monday at Warlick Funeral Home. The family will not be present, but will be at 6955 Blue Mountain Lane in Cherryville.
Jerry Lee was born March 12, 1946, in Lincoln County, to the late Calvin Morrison and Pearl Smith Higgins. In addition, he was also preceded by a son, Jerry Allen Smith; a sister, Martha Smith; and a brother, Terry Higgins.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Fredell Smith of the home; three sons, Wayne Aderholt (Mary) of Lincolnton, Scotty Lee Smith of Maiden, and Johnny Robert Smith (Tammy) of Lincolnton; a daughter, Cloressa Smith of Lincolnton; daughter-in-law, Lisa Smith of Lincolnton; a brother, Danny Ray Higgins (Maria) of Hickory; a sister, Joyce DeMaria (Joe) of Hickory; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
