Rev. Douglas Lee McClain, age 60 of Lincolnton died Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
Rev. McClain was born on March 12, 1960 in Knox County, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Carlos Benardi McClain and Bettye England McClain. He was the Pastor of First Baptist Church High Shoals.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Whitesides McClain; daughter , Katherine M. James and husband Taylor of Lincolnton; brother, Eddie McClain, and wife Dixie, of Mt. Holly; nephew, Matt McClain of Rock Hill; niece, Christina Bragg of Denver; four great nephews, Topper McClain of Rock Hill, Zach Bragg, Benjamin Bragg and Coleton Bragg all of Denver.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to First Baptist Church High Shoals, 600 North Lincoln Street, High Shoals, NC 28077.
