James "Jimmy" Milto Smith

James “Jimmy” Milton Smith, of Eastway Drive in Charlotte passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at his home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Jimmy was born on June 7, 1949 in Lincoln County. He was the son of the late Silas Bates Smith and Mary Irene Harless Hedgepeth. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Roxie Faye Smith Sain. Mr. Smith worked in banking and was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in Vietnam.
He is survived by his brother, Gordon M. “Mickey” Smith of Asheboro; three sisters; Mavin Smith Lail of Columbia, SC, Mary Sue Smith Tutherow of Lincolnton and Brenda Smith Henderson of Statesville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
