Rebecca "Becky" Collins Burke

Rebecca “Becky” Collins Burke, age 79, of W. Highway 27 in Lincolnton, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
A private graveside service is planned for the immediate family. The body will lie in state on Friday, May 29, 2020, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home. The family will not be present during this time.
Becky was born December 26, 1940, in Lincoln County, to the late Paul B. Collins and Precyous Hoyle Collins. She was an elementary school teacher for 42 years, having taught at Northbrook, Asbury, Oaklawn, and S. Ray Lowder schools. Becky also worked at the Teacher’s Learning Center. In addition, she taught ceramics through Gaston College for 25 years.
Her surviving family includes her husband, Rondel Burke of the home; a son, Joel Burke, and wife Marietta, of Newton, and three grandchildren, Wesley Burke, David Burke and Charlotte Burke.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, PO Box 43, Crouse, NC 28033.
